SKILLBRIDGE produces a capability architecture which explains how capabilities need to interact within real transformation systems to generate change. The framework moves from fragmented skills lists towards structured capability systems that can guide education, industry and policy action.
The framework is built around four Strategic Domains, the system logics through which future-ready capabilities are identified, structured and operationalized. It is complemented by the Capability Diamond, which explains how capability is activated, combined and translated into action.
Four Strategic Domains
The SKILLBRIDGE Skills Framework organises future-oriented capabilities around four Strategic Domains. Each domain structures how capabilities are generated, validated and translated into educational and ecosystem action. This creates capability intelligence.
- Foresight & Futures Intelligence Foresight capabilities drive the shift from reacting to anticipating, enabling institutions and individuals to scan horizons, interpret weak signals and build the strategic intelligence needed to navigate complex futures.
- AI & Deep Tech Systems AI and deep tech capabilities support the shift from using tools to building infrastructure, encompassing artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, advanced manufacturing, IoT and responsible deployment of intelligent systems.
- Innovation & Entrepreneurship Systems Innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities drive the shift from isolated ideas to scalable ecosystems, combining design thinking, venture creation, challenge-based learning and open innovation practices.
