SKILLBRIDGE Completes National Curriculum Modernisation Workshop Series

Fifteen co-creation workshops across five countries have laid the foundations for the next phase of the project.

With the final workshops taking place in Barcelona, SKILLBRIDGE has successfully completed its national curriculum modernisation workshop series, bringing together educators, universities, VET providers, innovation hubs, startups and industry representatives across Poland, Lithuania, Croatia, Serbia and Spain.

In total, 15 co-creation workshops were delivered as part of the project's dual-track modernisation process, supporting both education transformation and workforce development. Participants validated emerging skills, capability priorities and transformation challenges using the SKILLBRIDGE Skills Observatory and Capability Framework, helping ensure that project outputs reflect real needs across different national and regional innovation ecosystems.

Although each country highlighted its own priorities, the workshops revealed a strong shared direction. Across all five countries, participants emphasised the growing importance of foresight, AI and deep technologies, innovation, and sustainability as essential capabilities for future-ready education, organisations and innovation ecosystems.

The knowledge generated through the workshops will now inform the next stages of the project, including curriculum modernisation, educator development, work-based learning, the Skills Observatory and the development of long-term collaboration through the Centres for Foresight and Innovation (CFIs) and the Skills4Innovation Alliance (S4IA).

The consortium extends its sincere thanks to all partners, facilitators and participants whose expertise and collaboration made this co-creation process possible.

The results of the workshops will be translated into practical resources, methodologies and recommendations that support educators, institutions, businesses and policymakers in preparing for future skills and capability needs.
